Anna Maria Bürgi, born 1936 in Kägiswil OW, grew up in Alpnach Dorf
1953 to 1957 Ecole des Arts et Métiers in Vevey, since then independent artist
1961 Marriage with Kurt Meyerhans, music teacher, three daughters
Lives in Vaux La Douce, Haute-Marne (F) and Basel (CH)
Life
I saw the light of day on 24 October 1936, without having been asked, in a small hamlet at the foot of the mountain Pilatus, in Switzerland, that hemmed me in and gave me shelter at the same time.
Today I live and work in the Northern vastness of France in the midst of a forest clearing.
